Cyber Security term 18: Guessing Entropy

A Guessing Entropy is a measure of difficulty that an attacker has to guess in order to crack the average password used in a system. Generally, Entropy is stated in Bits.

So, if I want to explain it a bit easier than I would say this. Perhaps your password difficulty is level 8. The hacker has to use Guessing Entropy level 8 to try and crack your password since it’s level 8.
