Cyber Security term 20: Handshaking Procedures

A Handshaking Procedure is the process by which two information systems establish a communication channel. Handshaking starts when one device sends a message or some contents to another device for identifying, syncing, decrypting, and authenticating themselves to one another.

So basically, there are two devices. One device sends something to the other device they connect and that is when the Handshaking Procedures begin when the devices start to channel to each other.
