The tallest and shortest giraffes in history!

The tallest giraffe in the world is named George, and he towers at 19 feet! Wow! George is a Masai bull giraffe, he sadly died on 22 July 1969.

The average height for all giraffes is 16 to 18 feet. These animals have strong and sturdy legs to hold up that body and neck, so don’t stand behind it when it’s angry, or it might give a very powerful and damaging kick!

We saw the tallest giraffe in the world, but who’s the shortest? There are actually 2 with the same height! Two giraffes named Gimil and Nigel were born with dwarfism, rendering them 9 feet, half the height of the usual size of a giraffe!
