Cyber Security 41: Cross-site scripting

Cross-site scripting is sometimes also known as XSS. Because the X part is the cross. SS is the site scripting part. Anyways, cross-site scripting is when someone injects a malicious code into a trusted website. When that does happen, the victim’s browser has no way of knowing it so it lets the victim into the site. The result is, once it gets injected, the malicious code has access to all of the cookies and other sensitive information on that site.
