Deepfakes are images or videos of someone’s faces that have been altered. They can also do that to the original’s voices. Although some people might tell the difference right away, others might not.
When someone makes a deepfake image or video, their intentions are probably to spread fake news, lies and hoaxes. They can make people believe fake things, or make other people seem bad.
